Paul Di Resta believes the 811-metre run into Turn One will be eventful for the drivers at the front of the grid, with pole-sitter Max Verstappen leading the Mercedes pair of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton from the line.
“I think it’s going to be very rewarding in the first corner here, I don’t know what these drivers’ egos are going to be like. [aren’t a factor] They know the impact of what they can do in the first few rounds, they can make a difference,” De Resta says Sky Sports F1.
“That’s where Hamilton vs Russell, we saw in Austin where they were ready to go wheel to wheel and Max had nothing to lose so he was going to do everything he could.
“Czecho is in the mix, he played wheel-to-wheel with Lewis very firmly. Silverstone is the one that stands out for me.”
