Former Chelsea defender Glenn Johnson has warned his former club against selling Christian Pulisic to Manchester United.
The Red Devils are rumored to be interested in a loan deal for the American winger, who has struggled to secure a nail-on starting position at Stamford Bridge.
United could be short-changed as Jadon Sancho moves away from the first team and regains fitness, but Johnson reckons the move will be too soon if it happens in January.
“I want Chelsea to keep Christian Pulisic and not go to Manchester United,” he told Midnight. “I’ve been defending him for a long time, saying he has so much potential, but now he has to prove it.
“He’s still got loads to give, give him one more serious season, but if we’re having the same conversations this time next year, he’s got to go.”
