HP launches a laptop that even Apple wouldn’t dare to

A screenshot from an HP ad shows a man's face and the same man standing behind.

Not exactly Tim Cook, is he?

So, if you’re going to get the world excited about a new computer, you’re going to have to find a slightly different way of doing it.

But there’s other, and then there’s, wait – what is this, exactly?

You can feel the latter as HP drinks it the way it starts Oman 16 Gaming Laptop.

May I give you a little pre-sale courtesy of HP Ad Agency creatives Bertie Schrace and Kristen Brestrup?

They are said The drum: “We thought it would be fun to debunk the stereotypes of how big tech brands announce their new products and innovations. That incredible extra half-inch screen or that life-changing extra MP photo tool.”

Now, which bombshell big tech brands can they name? Do you think it could be Apple?

OK, now that you’ve built Subversion, here’s how HP did it.

This dramatizes the fact that Oman 16 uses ambient air to cool itself. How? Some people may see the late personal injury lawyer performance as an intentionally terrible, primitive advertisement with all the product values.

The ad features presenter Michael Prezentashun. He was less Tim Cook and what would have happened to Bill Nye in another life.

Prezentashun’s whole shtick illustrates just how awesome “quality gaming air” really is.

So here’s HP giving away free cans of fresh air until October 31st.

Because, to be a big “reason”? HP wants you to buy this gaming laptop and hopes you find this ad amusing. So we recommend you to release this wonderful air next to your new Omen 16 laptop.

It’s a perfectly reasonable approach and certainly one Apple won’t try to sell you MacBook Air.

What’s clear is that HP HQ has enormous confidence.

Why, the company’s head of global gaming and software marketing, Lott Martin, said, “Through this campaign, we want to show gamers everywhere why our new Oman 16 laptop deserves a high-quality, handcrafted air for the ultimate gaming experience.”

Yes, the lot. We trust you. We all deserve high quality craft air. In fact, HP is making an enormous contribution to improving the quality of our environment Planting 0.0001% of the trees needed for the One Trillion Tree Challenge.

However, I’m sure you’re more concerned with whether the Omen 16 laptop is any good or if this hype is just hot air.

I wonder what laptop Michael Prezentashun has at home. Maybe old TelI think.
