Kate Middleton Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been defended by their uncle following attacks on their latest Netflix miniseries. Gary Goldsmith Dan told Wootton that the Princess of Wales was “borderline perfect” and a “very classy” woman.
Asked about his reaction to the series, Mr Goldsmith admitted he was “left in the dark” after Sussex’s interview with Oprah Winfrey last year became “personal”.
The recruitment consultant admits she has “her fair share” on social media but can’t stand having a “bad word” about her daughter-in-law.
He said: “Following the Oprah interview it became very personal.
“It was so dark that I thought the whole thing had become unacceptable.
“I had a bit of a fit on social media and people were asking questions as a result.
“I think it’s gotten to the point where potshots are being taken about us as a nation.
“I love the royal family, and then my daughter-in-law.
“I don’t want anyone to say a bad word about my niece because she’s borderline perfect.”
“I think she’s melted into the role, and she takes her role and responsibility and that privilege incredibly seriously.
“And when it comes to the family, the monarchy, the gate, it’s very difficult to express anything without using exaggerations.
“From tomboy to princess, it’s a fairytale. When you meet her, you instantly feel special.
“If there’s anything common about her it’s probably the common touch.
“Where she can melt at you. She’s such a classy girl.”
